Captain Mike Zainea has spent his entire life in the St. Clair Shores
area, and has had a love for the lake since he was a young boy.
At an early age, Mike was introduced to fishing by a family friend who regularly took him out on the lake on
the weekends. It was love at first site for Mike, who decided right
then that he would always stay near the lake so he could fish.
As the years went by, Mike's love of fishing grew,
and so did the size of the fish he was after! Mike caught his first
muskie, and they have served as his true love ever since! He is an
avid supporter of catch-and-release. Over the last several years, he
has released over a thousand muskie safely back into the waters to
continue to grow.
Mike spends hundreds of hours every season on Lake
St. Clair in search of the next big muskie, and his dedication and
knowledge of muskie has helped him to become a well-respected angler among
his peers and in the angling community.
In the off-season, Mike is a Middle School teacher
who shares his love of the outdoors and his love of fishing with his
students.
